The Emergency Stairs Top-Left sign directs people to an escape route via the stairs, up and to the left. It uses the internationally recognised ISO 7010 emergency-exit pictogram (E001/E002) — a running figure with a directional arrow on a green background, understood without words across the EU, combined with a staircase symbol.
